Merchant Compliance Assistance Program (MCAP)
TSYS Acquiring Solutions has developed the Merchant Compliance Assistance Program to help acquirers and their small- to mid-sized merchants achieve Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and then stay compliant. MCAP encompasses data breach insurance, PCI services, Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware and software upgrades and merchant call campaigns.

Data Breach Insurance
Through our partnership with Royal Group Services, acquirers and their merchants can be protected from losses as a result of an actual or suspected data breach at a merchant location, regardless of a merchants’ PCI compliance status. The insurance covers mandatory forensic audit expenses, assessments and fines levied by the card brands and card replacement costs. It also provides an opportunity for acquirers to generate additional revenue.

PCI Services
Our partnership with ControlScan is designed to help merchants achieve compliance and provides acquirers the ability to manage and monitor the process. Merchants are stepped through the process of completing a self-assessment questionnaire and completing a network scan, if necessary. Acquirers can view the compliance status of their entire portfolio or each individual merchant through a PCI dashboard. Merchant marketing and educational materials are also available.

POS Hardware and Software
TSYS Acquiring Solutions is prepared to help you with a campaign to upgrade merchant POS terminals. With convenient east and west coast deployment centers, we can quickly increase merchant security with terminal replacements and software updates as well as with Triple Data Encryption Standard (TDES) PIN-pad replacements and upgrades for non-compliant terminals. We also provide access to a catalog of compliant third-party software applications.
